Incentives to Book Directly with Villa Verde
Free Upgrade to the next best room if available on the day of arrival.
You may cancel free of charge until 3 days before arrival (e.g. Booking on the 10th of the month, cancellation has to be requested by 23:59 on the 6th). You will be charged the total price if you cancel in the 3 days before arrival. If you don’t show up you will be charged the total price.
A valid credit or debit card must be used to make a reservation.
A prepayment of the total price will be charged at any time.
This can be refunded at check in if you would like to pay by a different method.
What is the standard check in time?
14:00 although an earlier check in may be possible.
What is the check out time?
Check-out is 10am. The latest this can be extended to is 11am, subject to availability – after that you will have to reserve for another day.
I am not flying until later in the day - can I leave my luggage with you until I fly?
Yes, we can store your luggage.
Do you offer luggage storage while I am away?
Yes and the cost is £1 per item per day and is subject to space availability.
Do you accept pets in the Guest House?
No, definitely no pets allowed.
Are children welcome?
Yes children of all ages are welcome at our hotel – we have family rooms for 3 and 4. Unfortunately we cannot accomodate 5 people in family 4 rooms.
Do you have a lift?
Yes, we have a lift that is predominantly used for lugguage but can be used for people with mobility problems.
Does the price include free wireless internet?
Yes throughout the building.
Do you offer a shuttle service?
No we don’t have a shuttle, we work with 2 local taxi companies. The costs is GBP 5.50 per journey for up to 4 people plus luggage. Taxi pick ups from the airport CANNOT be Pre-Booked. Taxis from Villa Verde can be pre-booked, just ask a member of staff.
Alternatively you may wish to use the airport taxis which are available on both the north and south terminal (please be aware that the cost of an Airport Taxi is approx £10) You can also reach the guest house either by train to Horley Station (we are only 5 minutes walk from the station) or via local bus (20 or 100).
What are the normal check in times?
Check in is available from 14:00 to 21:30.
If you are arriving later then that, you MUST NOTIFY the hotel, either via email or via phone and we will issue our Late Arrival Procedure.
Can I leave my car at your hotel whilst on holiday?
Yes, there is a charge, please refer to our Parking Page.
Villa Verde Gatwick is located 1 mile from Gatwick Airport and 300 yards from Horley Town centre.
Horley Railway Station is only 500 yards away, with regular direct trains to Central London (35 minutes) and Brighton (25 minutes).
Are there nearby pubs and restaurants? Yes, there are a wide range of establishments to suit everyone all within a five minute walk.
Is Villa Verde under the flight path?
No, we are not under the flight path – you will not hear any aircraft noise.
Does the local town have a post office and banks with currency exchange?
Yes, banks and post office are open 9am to 5pm weekdays and 9am to 1pm on a Saturday – they are closed on Bank Holidays & Sundays.
Do you have smoking rooms?
No we are fully non–smoking – however, there is a smoking area at the front of the premises where you can smoke.
Do the bedrooms have their own bathroom?
All bedrooms are en-suite.
Do you have an iron & ironing board?
We supply this on request, just ask at reception.
Do you have disabled rooms?
Yes we have a ground floor twin bedded room that has been designed with a large central turning circle. The en-suite shower room has been fitted with a roll in shower tray, seat, grab rails and WC grab rail. We have a further three ground floor rooms available for people with lesser disabilities. A wheelchair lift to the first floor provides access to further bedrooms for people with lesser disabilities. All power points and light switches throughout the building have been positioned for ease of access from a seated position. Our breakfast room seating arrangements are flexible to facilitate ease of access for people in wheelchairs.
