CANCELLATION POLICY


You may cancel free of charge until 3 days before arrival (e.g. Booking on the 10th of the month, cancellation has to be requested by 23:59 on the 6th). You will be charged the total price if you cancel in the 3 days before arrival. If you don’t show up you will be charged the total price.


When booking 3 or more rooms a different policy applies. Please get in touch for more details.



PAYMENT POLICY


A valid credit or debit card must be used to make a reservation.


A pre payment of the total price will be charged at any time (usually within 4 weeks before arrival). You can still cancel for free and receive a full refund up to 3 days before arrival (starting from midnight of 3 days earlier).


This can be refunded at check in if you would like to pay by a different method.



DO YOU OFFER A SHUTTLE SERVICE?


No we don’t have a shuttle, we work with 2 local taxi companies. The costs is approx GBP 5.50 per journey for up to 4 people (plus 2 big suitcases and 2 small). Once you arrive at Gatwick Airport and have cleared customs and have collected your luggage please telephone directly either taxi company who will direct you to their pickup point and then come and collect you. Taxi pick ups from the airport CANNOT be Pre-Booked.Taxis from Villa Verde can be pre-booked, just ask a member of staff.


The 2 taxi companies are:

ETS/EVO on +44 1293 922811 or +44 1293 780780. Their pick up point from the North Terminal is: exit arrivals, walk trough the walkway and follow the sign to the Premier Inn Hotel and once there stand opposite the Hotel. From the South Terminal, take the lift to the lower level, cross over to the second lane and wait there.


CARLINE on +44 1293 430430. From North Terminal: go back to the front of the terminal building on the ground level and go through the car park towards the Sofitel Hotel, once you reach the pavement turn left and stand by bus stop 16. From the South Terminal, cross the road to the first lane of the car drop off area where the pillars are orange and wait there.


Alternatively you may wish to use the airport taxis which are available on both the north and south terminal (please be aware that the cost of an Airport Taxi is £11) You can also reach the guest house either by train to Horley Station (we are only 5 minutes walk from the station) or via local bus (20 or 100).



WHAT IS THE STANDARD CHECK-IN TIME?


Check in is available from 14:00 to 21:30 (although an earlier check in may be possible).


If you are arriving later then 21:00, you MUST NOTIFY the hotel, either via email or via phone and we will issue our Late Arrival Procedure (access code and insructions where to collect your room key).



WHAT IS THE CHECK-OUT TIME?


Check-out is 10am. The latest this can be extended to is 11am, subject to availability – after that you will have to reserve for another day.



LOCATION


Villa Verde Gatwick is located 1 mile from Gatwick Airport and 300 yards from Horley Town centre.


Is Villa Verde under the flight path? No, we are not under the flight path – you will not hear any aircraft noise


Horley Railway Station is only 500 yards away, with regular direct trains to Central London (35 minutes)  and Brighton (25 minutes).


Are there nearby pubs and restaurants? Yes, there are a wide range of establishments to suit everyone all within a five minute walk.



DO YOU HAVE A LIFT?


Yes, we have a lift that is predominantly used for lugguage but can be used for people with mobility problems.



DOES THE ROOM RATE INCLUDE BREAKFAST?


Breakfast is not included in the room rate and can be purchased at an additional cost of £6 pp for Continental, Classic Bacon & Eggs for £7 and Full Cooked English Breakfast for £9 pp (please note that both Cooked options has to be PRE-BOOKED the evening before). For early check-out’s we also offer ‘breakfast to go bags’ charged at £3.50 pp. If you wish to add any of the breakfast options listed, you can send us an email or request it at CHECK-IN.



DO YOU HAVE DISABLED ROOMS?


Yes we have a ground floor twin bedded room that has been designed with a large central turning circle. The en-suite shower room has been fitted with a roll in shower tray, seat, grab rails and WC grab rail. We have a further three ground floor rooms available for people with lesser disabilities. A wheelchair lift to the first floor provides access to further bedrooms for people with lesser disabilities. All power points and light switches throughout the building have been positioned for ease of access from a seated position. Our breakfast room seating arrangements are flexible to facilitate ease of access for people in wheelchairs.



DO THE BEDROOMS HAVE THEIR OWN BATHROOM?


All bedrooms are en-suite.



DO YOU HAVE SMOKING ROOMS?


No we are fully non–smoking – however, there is a smoking area at the front of the premises where you can smoke.



DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE FREE WIRELESS INTERNET?


Yes throughout the building.



CAN I LEAVE MY CAR AT YOUR HOTEL WHILST ON HOLIDAY?


Yes, there is a charge, please refer to our Parking Page.



ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?


Yes children of all ages are welcome at our hotel – we have family rooms for 3 and 4. Unfortunately we cannot accomodate 5 people in family 4 rooms.



I AM NOT FLYING UNTIL LATER IN THE DAY - CAN I LEAVE MY LUGGAGE WITH YOU UNTIL I FLY?


Yes, we can store your luggage.



DO YOU OFFER LUGGAGE STORAGE WHILE I AM AWAY?


Yes, the cost is £2 per item per day. It is subject to space availability and has to be pre-booked in advance.



DOES THE LOCAL TOWN HAVE A POST OFFICE AND BANKS WITH CURRENCY EXCHANGE ?


Yes, banks and post office are open 9am to 5pm weekdays and 9am to 1pm on a Saturday – they are closed on Bank Holidays & Sundays.



DO YOU ACCEPT PETS IN THE GUEST HOUSE?


No, definitely no pets allowed.



DO YOU HAVE AN IRON & IRONING BOARD?


We supply this on request, just ask at reception.
